Eastern & Western Integrative Massage

East & West Integrative Massage is a combination of Eastern and Western massage techniques from massage modalities: Deep Tissue, Sports massage, Swedish massage, Reflexology, Aromatherapy, Cupping- Gua Sha* and Tui Na. *May include classical Cupping and Gua Sha. Cupping and Gua Sha originally come from Traditional Chinese Medicine and treat conditions including acute or chronic pain; a common cold; respiratory problems such as asthma, bronchitis; musculoskeletal problems in any case of recurrent or persistent fixed pain.

Orthopedic 'Medical' Massage

Orthopedic massage is a style of massage therapy focused on treating painful conditions that affect the soft tissues of the body. Because orthopedic massage is designed to treat medical conditions, it requires extensive training. It involves releasing tense muscles, helping to stretch and lengthen tight muscles and tendons, and decompress rigid joints. The therapeutic goal is to restore full health to the soft tissues of your body, both treating specific conditions as well as improving overall well-being.

Deep Tissue Massage

Deep Tissue Massage is a form of bodywork that aims to relieve tension in the deeper layers of tissue in the body. Deep Tissue Massage is a highly effective method for releasing chronic stress areas due to misalignment, repetitive motions, and past lingering injuries. Due to the nature of the deep tissue work, open communication during the session is crucial to make sure you don't get too uncomfortable. Keep in mind that soreness is pretty common after the treatment, and that plenty of water should be ingested to aid with the flushing and removal of toxins that will have been released from the deep tissue during the session.

Sports Massage

Sports Massage is a type of massage designed for highly active people who engage in athletics. Engaging in sports is harsh on the body and can often lead to injuries in both the short and long term. Sports Massage enhances performance and prolongs a sports career by helping to prevent injury, reduce pains and swelling in the body, relax the mind, increase flexibility, and dramatically improve recovery rates. Sports Massage is also highly effective in aiding the rapid recovery of an athlete from an injury by encouraging greater kinesthetic awareness and in turn promoting the body's natural immune function.

Swedish Massage

Swedish Massage is a very relaxing and therapeutic style of bodywork. It combines oils or lotion with an array of strokes such as rolling, kneading, and percussion to help the body improve its circulation. The benefits of this type of bodywork are wide-ranging and include relief from aches and pains, decreased stress levels in the body, enhanced mental clarity, improved appearance, and greater flexibility.

Prenatal Massage

A prenatal massage helps to boost circulation for both baby and mother, helping to ease the aches and pains that tend to increase as pregnancy progresses. It is helpful for leg cramps, low back pain, sciatica and pelvic pain, as well as to maintain the health of the uterus and supporting structures for a healthier and easier labor and delivery.

Lymphatic Drainage Massage

A combination of various lymphatic therapies to aid in lymphatic drainage, improving circulation and boosting immunity while promoting relaxation. A lymphatic drainage massage may help to reduce swelling and bloating, and reduce inflammation.

Asian Bodywork: Tui-Na

Asian bodywork aims to restore and balance the flow of energy or Qi throughout the body. It uses gentle hand and finger pressure along specific points and energy pathways (meridians) on your body to restore the body to full health. There are many forms of Asian bodywork, but they all share a common foundation in Chinese Medicine. They simply differ in their use of specific techniques to balance your energy and internal organs according to Chinese Medicine.

'East Meets West' Acu-Bodywork

Combination of Eastern & Western massage modalities and Traditional Oriental Medicine. Treatment Includes: East & West Integrative Massage, Tongue & Pulse Diagnostics, Acupuncture treatment with electroacupuncture, cupping, guasha, herbal medicine prescription, nutritional advice, and/or qigong exercises as deemed necessary by the practitioner.

An extended massage session which includes a combination of Eastern & Western massage modalities followed by acupuncture treatment with electroacupuncture, cupping, guasha, herbal medicine prescription, nutritional advice, and/or qigong exercises as deemed necessary by the practitioner.

2 Hour Acu-Bodywork

An extended massage session which includes a combination of Eastern & Western massage modalities followed by acupuncture treatment with electroacupuncture, cupping, guasha, herbal medicine prescription, nutritional advice, and/or qigong exercises as deemed necessary by the practitioner.

Things To Know

Gratuity: Clients are encouraged to leave gratuity by cash or Venmo directly to the provider, otherwise a standard 20% gratuity will be added to the card used for payment at the time of service.

Late cancellation policy: All appointments cancelled or rescheduled less than 24 hours in advance of their scheduled session for in-office visits will incur a fee of $95 for 75 minute massages, $110 for 90 minute massages and $125 for 2 hour massages.

In-Home services: For home visits, the client must provide a massage table, 2 sheets per person and towels. Coverage area within Manhattan only.
